- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I have mixed feelings on my review of Fort Bend County Animal Services. First, we rescued a one year old Staffordshire from the shelter this past weekend. The volunteers were very nice and helpful. I was informed that the pup I selected had tested positive for heart worms and I was prepared for that extra expense. When I took the pup to my vet about the heart worm issue, I was told the pup had 3 types of worms. I left the vet with a $500 bill for a pup that I rescued. The shelter had indicated the pup was dewormed except for the heart worm issue. Beware when getting animals from this location.By Randy Murdock, September 10, 2017

A stray cat had babies in my backyard, I called for assistance and the idiot who is getting paid with MY TAX DOLLARS said you trap them and we will come get them. Are u serious? Not like they have a REAL JOB. Nobody actually does anything! But if I get rid of the cats my way its animal cruelty? I HATE cats!!! These ppl should be the FIRST to lose their jobs when the mayor make cuts to the freakin budget! LOSERS!By Bridgette Jordan, July 10, 2017
